If you are local to our home farm in Telford, you may have noticed a lot of changes that have been taking place there. One of such is that in the fall of 2016, we started building our own feed mill. Then in the winter of 2017, we begin to switch over and start making our own organic feed for our home farm.
This process continues to grow and we now mill organic feed for most of our organic farm. By milling our own feed and for that of our contract farms, we are able to closely monitor how the birds are doing and to make adjustments to their diet quickly and easily We try to get most of our ingredients as local as possible, and for the corn, we also strive to purchase from local farmers in order to help them out when we can.
All of the ingredients we use is certified organic, making sure to stay in compliance that that our birds are always 100% organic.
